“Abundance is the quality of life you live and quality of life you give to others.”
― J.K. Rowling
It is nearing time for the harvest, and the true wheel of the world does not knock its clockwork spins on the same tick-tock of the clock beeping you awake in the morning. If it please you, I would like you to meet The Empress:
This past August we had crazy dreams and explored our inner underworld. Small ideas which took seed have now sprouted and it is time to further nourish those ideas. In the west of the world, we are coming into the harvest season where it’s time to reap what we sow. This week is about nourishment, nurture, claiming, and rejoicing in the bounty. It’s time.
Sometimes we trick ourselves into thinking the timing is never right. While it takes time for a seed to grow, there may appear to be no growth. It is simply transmuting within the inner realm of the self, where all the shiny alchemy happens.
The Empress has rule over the laws of the natural world and the outer realms of manifestation. In this representation of her, we dig a bit more into her being. Blood. Passion. Flower. Seed. Creation. Destruction. Spark.
What words come to mind when you look at her? Write those words down. Keep them in mind. Imagine what you want to manifest into your life. Dream it and live it.
The mark of Venus is by her side. She is all cycles, sensuality, contrast, and extremes. There is a softness to her but a raw power to not be trifled with, also. Where her hand rests on her stomach, we are shown that everything created by her body is part of her, just as what we bring into this world is part of us, part of our choices. (Refer to last week’s Ten of Wands.) When looking at past choices and the steps you have taken forward, how has your perspective now changed in regards to how you wear “burdens” and how you birth new realities into your outer world? She is also representative of matrilineal relationships. Study those relationships, alongside the relationship of yourself to the choices you may be manifesting this week.
Remember self-care. Start there. Nurture yourself this week.
The Empress’ left hand holds the spark, the power. She knows her potency and invokes creativity. The thing about birthing creativity into reality is that there are cycles to be realized, and the process contains multiple mini-deaths and mini-births. You are the center of the cycle. Breathe. Breathe again. Enjoy the bounty of your creativity.
