“There can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
“Never pray for justice, because you might get some.”
― Margaret Atwood, Cat’s Eye
Today, the full moon begins our week in stable earth sign Taurus. This sign is all about taking care of things and looking around with pride at the stable structures we have built for ourselves. Though there might be a nagging feeling that makes one question their sense of security, how they have gotten where they are. Be careful or that question might turn into what keeps you awake at night this week.
This is a week that you need to make sure you have your actions and intentions in balance. Justice is not blind; she makes her choices based on what is presented in front of her.
Justice lets tarot cards fall from her hands–your choices, your predicaments, your history. The feather is reminiscent of Eqypt’s Ma’at’s symbol (an ostrich feather), as she weighs your heart. Ma’at was considered to be natural harmony, a goddess of truth, balance and order. Without her, the universe would fall into chaos. If one’s heart weighed equal to Ma’at’s feather, one would be rewarded with eternal life. She would weigh the soul’s worthiness of that life.
This card can represent a period of your life where you are functioning as your own Ma’at, being forced perhaps by circumstance to take a look at where you have been and where you are going. There is a search for truth, a question of truth. Sometimes it’s a sharp indication that you know something needs to be done. An action needs to be taken. A pattern needs to be broken. Questions you are now asking yourself are: What if I get it wrong? What if I am wrong?
Karma is coming back around. Actions have consequences. Perhaps you’re the one dishing them out. Let any actions of your own be ones of honesty and personal valor. When dealing with the consequences… use the same approach, particularly with yourself.
Trust your heart. Know your heart. Whatever decision you are weighing… that is where you will find your truth.
