“She watched the tunnels as they flowed past: bare walls of concrete, a net of pipes and wires, a web of rails that went off into black holes where green and red lights hung as distant drops of color. There was nothing else to dilute it, so that one could admire naked purpose and the ingenuity that had achieved it.”
― Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
Tricky. Tricky. There is a sense of something coming at you from the side, like that sense of being watched. In fact you may know that whatever this is… it’s been coming for a while. It may be the attention you want but not in the way that you crave or need, and you are prepared to deal with any bullshit without getting dragged into the drama.
Perhaps it’s a fear of involving yourself. It could be that you’re the one that is the fixer or the negotiator. Moth to flame, all of the drama-llamas come to you. Here we go, again.
Honey, we need to talk.
It’s time for you to take charge. The word these two cards have in common as I read them is: Ingenuity. There is a sense of having cultivated an inner peace, a sense of boundaries, or a new way of doing things that really works for you. Take what you have learned or noticed in your time apart from the crowd to heal or grow from the situation that presents itself this week. The unique way you see things will be called into action to serve a purpose.
For those of you that have taken time for yourself: GOOD! You may not give yourself enough credit here, but darling you really have learned how to take care of yourself; you know when you need to say NO and when you need to say YES. Others can tug you back and forth, and that causes enough anxiety in and of itself… Yet, you’ve resolved that you won’t get caught up in, dragged into, or beaten down by others’ drama. This ‘thing’ coming at you… is an opportunity to take charge and participate in this ‘thing’ in a new way, with a new approach. You have the reserves for this, and no one can take that away if you don’t let them.
It may be that a personality clash is going to happen this week. The Hermit personality type is used to doing things his/her own way. Go ahead and hear out whoever is involved, but make your own points clear. It’s important to feel heard. Now the risk with this card combination is the sense of being self-important, where it seems like everyone is just running with scissors. When self-importance and lack of self-esteem butt heads, watch out. It may be that instead of coming out of the shadows of hermitage, you need to head out to the wilderness for a while and reclaim yourself.
What it comes down to: A combination of a wands card (the Seven of Wands) and the Hermit can indicate that your time of isolation has awakened your fire, your creativity and an opportunity has now presented itself to make use of this.
